Senior e-commerce Agile Project Manager

Envoy Digital Limited is a privately owned e-commerce specialist and one of the most trusted e-commerce agencies in the UK. We are growing by double digits and our team has expanded rapidly in the last year. It is a strategically important and an exciting time for Envoy - we are investing in new business development and staffs to accommodate our next phase of growth. We are looking for a Senior e-commerce Agile Project Manager to join our expanding team. We have a blended Agile project methodology which we have optimised to meet the challenges of project implementation. We run Agile project and software development with a strong Project Management Governance wrapper. This approach is advantageous in that we can provide the project controls around planning, risk, issue management and budgetting whilst gaining the benefits of delivering the project in an Agile fashion.

Key Responsibilities - Project Governance

  • Manage the full project life cycle of assigned projects, working closely with the Directors, technical delivery teams and third party strategic partners (UX, Creative, Infrastructure, Testing)

  • Ensure the Envoy Digital Project Governance framework is adhered to at all times and use it strategically to facilitate successful project delivery

  • Ensure high qaulity projects are delivered according to the approved specifications within agreed scheduled and approved budgets

  • Create and maintain project plans and time lines for designated projects

  • Enforce strict Envoy change control and ensure scope is tightly managed with all out-of-scope requirements documented and accepted by the client before going through change control

  • Manage and document a project RAID for all projects. Escalate any risk/issues to relevant stakeholders and sponsors in a timely manner

  • Update and circulate weekly status reports and attend weekly status meetings to report on the progress of your projects both internally and externally with the client

  • Oversee and take ultimate responsibility for all financial aspects of your projects including maintaining a budget

  • Manage the financial risk of projects by ensuring that all project members adhere to best practices and record time spent on tasks accurately

  • Take responsibility for client relationships on delivery of projects to ensure retention and growth of accounts

Key Responsibilities - Agile Project management

  • Ensure Agile processes are being followed to deliver a successful Agile project

  • Act as Scrum Master for your project teams to ensure successful delivery of new Hybris build implementations and BAU

  • Facilitate and manage all key sprint ceremonies and foster an Agile project approach in the team

  • Facilitate pre-sprint planning and discovery including the requirements estimation process with assistance from BA and the development team

  • Build, maintain and grow relationships with internal and extrenal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.

  • Conduct and drive daily stand-ups with the teams to ensure seamless project delivery

  • Plan and run the development sprints using tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Run sprint close down workshops and show and tell sessions with the client

  • Secure client approval for each stage of the project before proceeding to the subsequent stage

  • Report on progress and burn down of the sprint and manage issues around non completed stories and testing remediation tasks

Required skills and experience

Must haves

  • Demonstrable experience running Agile projects using Jira and Confluence, utilizing the Scrum boards and workflows

  • Project RAG awareness, must be capable of sensing project dangers and when a project is starting to fail and escalate as early as possible.
  • Scrum Master certification

  • e-commerce platform implementation experience with a large budget and large development team

  • Excellent communication skills, be highly comfortable presenting project updates to the key stakeholders including board level

  • Passion and drive with a commitment to deliver high quality projects

 

Nice to haves

  • Hybris platform implementation and product knowledge

  • Experience migrating a client from one agency to another and managing that process
