Pringle of Scotland is a luxury knitwear manufacturer. Since 1815, Pringle has been an icon of premium cashmere and high-quality lifestyles. To celebrate its 200th anniversary, Pringle engaged Envoy to design and implement a special e-commerce site to enable customers to create and purchase their own bespoke Pringle pieces.
Premium product customisation
Pringle Deconstructed is the Nike-ID of knitwear – customers can pick a style they like, and customise up to 13 different parts of the garments. There are over a quadrillion potential design combinations (yes, really!), and the challenge for Envoy was to architect a solution that provided a sleek customisation experience across all style/texture/colour combinations for all garment options for both online and in-store customers.
The elegantly designed Pringle Deconstructed site provides a space for Pringle customers to fully unleash their creativity. Every piece available on the site is completely customisable – from the sleeves to the neck trim, even the raker of the classic diamond pattern.
Envoy successfully tackled the technical challenge of displaying numerous options available for customisation; Envoy delivered high quality visual experiences and a sleek knitwear configuration tool. Previews of designs change on-the-fly as customers play around with different combinations - no clunky steps or extra image load time to disrupt the shopping experience.
Envoy’s technology enabled customers to conveniently add on their own personal elements to templates created by fashion icons.
